About the Cactus Chapter...
The purpose of the Cactus Chapter of the VOLVO CLUB OF AMERICA is: "to encourage the ownership, operation, maintenance, and recognition of all VOLVO models; to act as a source of information; to promote activities and events that will encourage proper maintenance and operation; to provide for members a camaraderie and a focal point for common interest; to arrange for member discounts on a variety of products, parts, and services; to promote safe driving and the use of safety devices."
This CHAPTER is intended to be the focal point of activity within the CLUB. Its purpose is to provide an organization at the local level for the planning and carrying out of activities supporting the objectives of the CLUB and which can respond to the needs of the CHAPTER members. Our CHAPTER will have meetings for the purpose of planning activities and to conduct other such business as may be necessary to the operation of the CHAPTER. Activities may include but are not limited to gathering to promote the restoration, care, safe use, and enjoyment of VOLVO automobiles as well as gathering camaraderie and to participate in other such events as may be of interest to the members. CHAPTER membership is $15 yearly conditional on VCOA membership at $35 per year. This may be paid in conjunction with CHAPTER membership for $50 total.

About National...Dear Volvo Enthusiast, Thank you for your interest in the Volvo Club of America. VCOA is a national organization of owners and enthusiasts of all Volvo models, from the historical to the latest offerings. Our membership exemplifies this diversity ~ we own Volvos from the 1930s right up to the latest series cars. Local Chapters: VCOA members live in virtually every state ~ from Alaska and Hawaii to Main and Florida, and all points between. Local chapters across the country are basis for club events close to home. The Cactus Chapter does service the state of Arizona out of Phoenix. Regional & National Meets: VCOA sponsors annual Volvo meets featuring concours events, technical workshops, rallyes, swap meets, and banquets. These social events are for the entire family and highlight VCOA’s annual activities. Technical Assistance: Owners of older Volvos are especially interested in technical information and assistance, both for repairs and for modifications to there cars. VCOA helps you plug into a network of individuals across the country that can help the owner of any Volvo better understand how to maintain his or her Volvo. VCOA Internet Mail List: Sponsored by VCOA, the list provides computer users access to an Internet forum for technical, historical, and general information related to all Volvo models and years and activities their owners enjoy. On the Net, experienced Volvophiles and master mechanics can answer questions, help locate sources for hard-to-find items, and give you the directions to the next Volvo-related activity! http//www.vcoa.org.
